The Pencil And The Blues.

Did your momma ever tell you not to wear over sized clothes? Well mine did and so did the internet but i never listened. I thought i was a bad-ass until the clothes made me look a few pounds heavier. I contemplated much about this post after the pictures were out but i decided to share with you guys something that is not so perfect because this is me. I actually wore this to work last week very aware that the shirt wasn’t fitting well but i still went ahead and wore it. (I love my shirt like that so there was no way i was going to alter it).

The skirt – where should i start from? Pencil skirts are a known fave and a must have item in any girl’s closet. There’s a way they just hold everything together and make your legs look longer – please tell me its not all in my head, because people’s legs look longer to me in pencil skirts or dresses. My advise for you is to score yourself a black pencil skirt as you can play around with different looks. The other colors or prints should come as a bonus.

I love love the print with a mixture of neutrals on this skirt – i am down for some neutrals guys. This skirt was love at first sight, and am glad it looks just like what was on the site (y’all know that online shopping struggle). I felt the blue shirt was just the perfect match for this skirt, It’s out there in such a calm way and gives the right pop of color for the outfit.The skirt came in a medium which is usually my size but was unfortunately it slightly big for me, Not so visible but am definitely altering this one.

PS: Some pieces work so well when they are a size, two or even three bigger and am definitely a fan of some of those styles. So how would you pair this skirt and what do you think about the over sized shirt?
