I wonder why it feels like ages since i last put up a post (yet i just did that on Sunday), anyways hope you guys are doing great. I love coming up with new ideas for posts for you guys and today i got to wondering why i have never done any #OOTD (Out Fit Of The Day) posts, so i decided to get on that 🙂
I hope to pick a day every week to show you guys my Outfit Of The Day (if the week is less busy, maybe two – who knows, you might just be lucky). I am glad to have thought about this today and this being the month of Ramadan – it is perfect day for me to start this because i have never posted a picture of me dressed like this. MayaBee is a proud Muslim girl Ooops did i say girl? I mean lady) and this might come as a shock to some of you guys but i actually dress like this all month during Ramadan and cover my head everyday (explains the head scarves right? For those who have seen my Instagram lately).
Am loving this kaftan cover up – i got this yesterday and i just had to wear it ASAP and am sure i will be wearing it every single chance i get, so please bare with me if you see me LOL. (Just got an idea -am actually going to do a wardrobe maximization post for you guys with this kaftan, have thought of a number of ideas on how to wear it).
I love my neutrals so this lavender kaftan was quite appealing to me, not too much color but still making such a statement.
I wore black high waisted pants with some leather details at the front and a black camisole inside the kaftan cover up . If only i could thank the inventor of camisoles in person, these give me life guys – so easy to wear and you can do so much with them. Still expanding my collection until i have three in each color 🙂 .
I was in a hurry to leave home yesterday and i forgot to pick out a pair of shoes running to the car in my ugly flat sandals (i realized this when i was in the parking of the bank) – i was lucky enough to find these gladiator heels in my backup car closet (am sure some of you can relate to this).
I topped up the look with a multi colored scarf (mainly blues and purples), a blue bag and black sunnies -I have been living in these sun glasses this month, they work perfectly with the scarf.
Am seeing so many Muslim girls dressed in Hijab nowadays and still keeping it stylish – KUDOS to that. Before people used to relate the Hijab way of dressing to being boring and not fashion forward but today everything has changed – and definitely for the better. Shout Out to all those Muslim girls killing it in Hijab😁.
