You never know how important a throw on is until you are in such a rush to get out of the house but still need to look chic and well put together or you are just too damn lazy to think hard about an outfit. I always have a blazer and throw on hanged on the first rail in my wardrobe for situations like those, and it has worked wonders for me. I am sure you guys have seen this little number before but styled in a different way – I told you I am all about wardrobe maximization (a girl gotta save right?).
This LBD has got a story but that will be for another day, maybe on Snap Chat (add me itsmayabee11). But I must say it has been a life savior for the last 7 years – and yes I said 7 years. When someone mentions value for money, I can typically relate with this dress as I bought it in January of 2009 while I was on holiday in the US and girl this number has worked wonders for me till today (though it has gotten shorter over the years).
The beauty with black is you can play around with it as many times as your head lets you, but I feel like the gorgeous color of this throw on complimented the black dress perfectly. I added a small golden belt to extenuate my waist as the throw on is two sizes above mine but I like it that way. The shoes….Ooh these shoes! This was a choice I made to get the shoes out of the closet for the every first time since I bought those 3 years ago. I thought about re-shooting this look with different shoes, and then I remembered I want to be as honest as I can with you guys even if it means sharing my not so perfect looks. So what do you think about the shoes? Yay or Nay?
Do you own a thrown on? If not, then y’all need to get your wardrobe together.
