So this morning as i go through my draft posts, i come cross this post from over three months ago and i am actually embarrassed that i completely forgot about it. But i guess this was all good timing for me as i haven’t done a beauty related post in a while so here we are.
I love a good face beat but it’s usually a basic beat for me or just fleeky eyebrows and a good old red lip (those are my must haves) so when i got a chance for a mega face beat – and i mean mega, i couldn’t pass on the opportunity.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate Kim Kardashian’s face. It’s an oval with chiseled cheekbone hollows. In large part, this is thanks to genetics — but it’s also thanks to contouring, a technique used by makeup artists to make a person’s bone structure look especially sculpted. This is more complicated than simply dusting on some bronzer or blush. I honestly wish i could break it down step by step but i don’t want to bore you guys right now.
Others say it’s too much makeup and looks like a mask, what do you think? Personally i prefer to get my contour glam on for special occasions not my everyday look so If I’m doing a photo shoot – Guuurrlll bring on that contour. But if you can rock it everyday, and you want to do it, then do it honey. And be proud of it! That’s who you are. Or if you’re the opposite, where you don’t wear makeup and you’re just not part of that game, then that’s also okay. Just don’t knock other people who do like it. Just do you!
I worked with the extremely talented makeup artist Mona of Mona Faces for this and she did such an incredible job, (I couldn’t stop looking at my face LOL) am sure I will be working with her again.
After this face beat i am slowly investing more in my makeup and yearning to upgrade my makeup game by far.
