Slits And Pointed Toes :OOTD / OOTN #TBT

Yeah Yeah….I know black and red is the ultimate meaning of cliche (and am no fan of cliche) but sometimes it just looks well put together.

Seeing as today is Thursday, I decided to do a throwback of my Outfit of the Day. I wore this black slit-ed dress with sheer cut outs to a wedding about five months ago. At first I was a bit skeptical about this dress because of the slit – thinking it was to revealing for a wedding (PS; wedding reception – am one of those people who never makes it for the mosque or church session🙈) but after a few pep talks from my sister and friend I decided to go ahead and rock it.

When I say slits speak to me, am not sure if you understand but they literally do. So a slit plus body con is like handing me a chocolate chip milkshake and mushroom fries – heaven😀.

I went simple and all cliche with this dress – I paired it with red shoes, a red purse and silver tear drop earrings. I kept my hair in a bun, for those who know me know that this is my fave hair style ever (and I mean everrrrr😀)

I saw no need for a chain as I needed the cut outs to do all the talking and I think they did.
